What is history?

The force that governs all. No need to make it more complex than that.

Evil is the other side of the coin in that instead of serving communal survival, it serves individual interests. In hard times animals and early humans had to scrounge for sustenance, and hoard if possible for the harsh winter months. The more you have, the higher the chances you will survive to see another day. Steal your neighbor's bread and they might not survive, but you will. We have this inherent drive for more, no matter what period in history. More money, more things, more entertainment. Greed and power offer security, theyre the warm blankets that protect us from cold struggle. It doesnt matter how much "progress" we claim to make as a society, our core primal instincts will show one way or another. Today we can call a loved one on the opposite side of the world from a small handheld slab, transmitting the signal through satellites floating in space. We are so advanced, such progress. At the same time, in the same world, some bankers embezzle millions from others, there's genocide, murder, theft, even entire economies ruined to fill someone's pockets. The same story has repeated itself through history and we dont seem to get any better at getting rid of it, so I dont think we ever will. Evil is part of our DNA in the same way Good is.

I defer completely to scientific data on this one. Atoms, molecules of elements, matter. The big question in my mind is, have we discovered all (or most) of the elements in the universe, or are there hundreds more with different properties in other galaxies? I dont think our little spec in the universe called the Milky Way holds all that is to be discovered. There must be more out there that we can only imagine.

I'm not sure this is something we can answer. . . but I do imagine that whatever the answer is, it would amount to a great knitting together of all the fables and scientific versions we have so far. There is something in us, deep in our souls, that might know or remember in some way and I think that creeps out into our stories.

Biological and (possibly its subset) behavioral evolution have the role of ensuring life's endurance.

To exist. We were not put here for any specific reason but the obvious answer is to live life to the fullest. Also 42.

There is free will and it is constrained by social contexts. With the exception of those with mental health problems or whose social situations (privilege or deprivation) have profoundly damaged them, humans are socialized to take responsibility for our actions and we should.

Maybe God is a voice in our head

The mind may be a matrix of past experiences and future projections making decisions in the present. Mostly how to move our body and what sounds to sing.

To eternally chase this question and once we find something that we connect with, to create. In life things grow or erode. Therefore we can create or destroy. We all have the capability of both, but creation is the only way to leave a mark. For many of us that will mean family and kids for others it'll be bringing the fruits of our thoughts into reality.

Why do we make it so hard on ourselves and miss the beauty right in front of our faces?

Everything always changes. We evolve because we learn because we are always experiencing, and those experiences will always change us, even if it is a microscopic change. Those changes get passed down through our genetics and behaviors.

God is the energy in all living things that allows something as crazy as the human race and consciousness to exist.

Selfishness-- people wanting something that benefits themselves, without being able to understand someone else's wants, and not being able to compromise on that discrepancy

I think fear is the source of evil though it is not inherently evil. It is the failure to utilize fear productively.

Yes, but only in the sense that through attainment of true freedom, all spontaneous thought and action is rooted in harmony with the cosmic.

Selflessness winning out.

My focus is on what I do in life, not knowing everything. The is key to find a purpose, whatever it is that God wills me to do, to find a truth which is true to me, to find the idea which I am willing to live and die for.

The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.

For though we love both the truth and our friends, piety requires us to honor the truth first. Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.

Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.

Of cause there is something after death. The energy does not disappear. Energy can not be created or destroyed, it can change form though.

There is no happiness. There is joy, satisfaction, laughter or feeling happy. All we can do is to concentrate on situations in which we react with such emotions. Happy emotions are our brain rewards for ourselves. This could be destructive.

We need to first answer, "how does the brain work?" How does consciousness appear in an organ which evolved for aiding perception? Mind is a memory, neuronal paths with electrical current running through reigniting associations. Why mine is so fuzzy?

Yes. But it lacks objectivity.

Happiness exists like all components of the universe in itself and it is part of your nature and it just has to express itself and it is found.

The mind is part of the nature of the universe and it is connected to all things so that very imbalance affects the mind and the mind can affect the entire universe.

There is only free will because all limits are invented and illusory. Every moment is a free choice throughout time.

Truth can be found in silence. We all have innate knowledge within us that can be found when the mind can be quieted.

Be knowing that happiness is not anything that is to be found. It is, and exists in every moment. The greatest thing that hinders our happiness is our mind telling us that we need something else to be happy.

The nature of the mind is primal. It is geared towards survival and self preservation. However, if the mind is mastered it is a tool that can be used to advance the spirit beyond its primal instincts.

A journey of discovery and experience.

Why is life here?

Humankind will continue the futile attempt at making sense of life, love, and happiness, believing it's closer to grasping it, but failing time and again. The good news—there will always be art.

Selfishness and ill intent. 

Yes, I believe that we have alternative states to choose from but I also think very little of what we do comes from our conscious free will. I do not think we are like rocks falling off the face of a cliff due to erosion.

Refer to Q3 and Q4. It depends if you are good or evil. You're either full of love or full of greed.

The universe to me is what I know, and what I know started thanks to my mom and dad. That's how the universe began.

I know not how I may seem to others, but to myself I am but a small child wandering upon the vast shores of knowledge, every now and then finding a small bright pebble to content myself with.

Human behavior flows from three main sources - desire, emotion, and knowledge.

How do you make love stay?

Like everything else, God's movie will eventually come to an end.

Everything in the universe resides on a chain. The link on the chain before me is my parents. If you go far enough back on the chain you find God.

Spend 20 minutes alone everyday. Listen to your thoughts.

There is no evil. Only fear.

Whenever something dies, whether it's a person, a pet, a dream or an idea, a void is created. Sometimes the void can be filled. Sometimes it can't.

The role of evolution is to allow things to survive over time. Evolution is not limited to biological things. Good thoughts and ideas also need to evolve over time. If they don't, they will also die.

Each persons universe is a construct of their awareness. The more aware they are and the more they seek to understand things they cannot see, the larger their universe becomes.

All universes begin with awareness. When one becomes aware of their surroundings, their universe begins.

Good is a spark of the divine, that inhabits our minds, and makes us something more than human, if we choose to listen to it.

The orgin of evil. 

With effort and intention of love, curiosity and gratitude, the results exceed expectations. It is transient, subjective and trainable. Practice to become happiable- ready for happiness.

Survival instincts and natural selection. We supposed to grow up and transform fear and greed of the caveman into the understanding and wisdom. I guess, we need to work harder on that. Tempus fugit.

The universe began with a single spark that suddenly exploded into complexity. It's been growing more complex ever since. The question I have - why? And how?
