We must hope that we will learn to hop from planet to planet and from one star system to another, or our history will be wiped out from the universe in the destruction of our sun.

Self destruction

Hopefully, we continue to become more accepting, more enlightened, more peaceful.

Chippization, the war, the end of this civilization. Then This Planet going to be recolonized again, the evil masters wont be destroyed, they will reborn again only with a bit harder karma, but not too strong, cuz all EARTH humanity shares the same experience. So we are all sinners, untill we will pass this experience, which in my opinion will be only after biggest sorrows we could imagine.

Humankind will continue to go through various cycles -- positive and negative, individually and collectively.

That's not for me to say. Hopefully good things, though.

Extinction.

We will eventually realized that we are one.

We're screwed...the planet is in decline by human actions and we can't and won't fix it.

I am the eternal optimist over a long enough scale. On a day to day or even year to year scale you can convince me things have taken a step back, but if you took an average day for a person every hundred years and compared even the last 20 days it'll be hard to convince me things aren't getting exponentially better. Medicine used to focus on how leeches could solve most things, today we can transplant a heart, and in 200 years I know we will look back at the medicine of today and think how it was still such a blunt instrument. Sending a message actually meant sending a messenger, the most famous being that of the marathon. Now I can type this thought and in almost the same instance some person on the other side of the globe can read it. We travel in flying metal cans. I can wake up in one place and within the same day be in a totally different climate. Only the bravest people spending a huge portion of their lives used to do that. In fact, everywhere you look it's hard not to be amazed and inspired by the capability of the human mind. It is with that inspiration and awe that I know we still have an astonishing bright future. Do we have issues of today, no doubt, but I truly believe that we have enough minds out there willing and capable of fixing it.

We'll be able to travel the universe within our minds. At least those of us who aren't wiped out as germs aggravating our magnificent Earth.

We will continue to contribute to the source energy's wisdom, along with the cats and dogs and trees and aliens. When the human species "dies out" then the source energy will lose a very valuable vessel.

Either America will destroy ignorance or ignorance will destroy the United States.

It will become more soup.

Over the span of millions or billions of years, mankind may be destroyed, only to re-emerge through another cycle of new humanity.

Evolution or catastrophe.

At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace the savage races throughout the world.

History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.

Out of the crooked timber of humanity no straight thing was ever made.

We will overpopulate, use up the existing resources until our species declines to a level the remaining world will support. Then, we will start growing again and find the same damn ending. Evidently, that is what we do.

Knock knock, who's there?

We are going to dance more waltz and less polka. You know, the bloody entropy.

Some will survive and continue to evolve into what I don't know. Maybe not so smart but kinder and gentler.

It seems probable that once the machine thinking method had started, it would not take long to outstrip our feeble power. They would be able to converse with each other to sharpen their wits - we should have to expect the machines to take control.

Another toxic question. We have current awareness, so-so memory and fears-wishes to work with. Think Nostradamus with Alzheimer's. Stay with now. Really.

"What is the most likely cause of our extinction?" This should be the question. Self inflicted cause is the most likely answer.

Humankind will be remade into what it was originally and exist in harmony with its Creator for eternity future.

The zombie apocalypse, then extinction. That's my answer if we're thinking really long-term.

Human species is only one self-destructive species but there is plenty of human beings to secure humankind s survival.

I don't know. Nobody else does either.

It will persist until it changes and there will be the same levels of energy in the system but different forms.

Human may continue to exist on Earth, but likely the human population with fluctuate dramatically as it has in the past. Humans will not be allowed to totally destroy the planet but instead turn us back to living in harmony with nature.

Looking at what we are capable of, it is possible that human would transform humankind to a very different form.

The same thing that is happening now.

Immediate future is androids, evolving into one connected mind which will be the God of distance future creating and guiding future life forms.

Humankind will continue the futile attempt at making sense of life, love, and happiness, believing it's closer to grasping it, but failing time and again. The good news—there will always be art.

A lot, I think we will be here for a good while, but chances are that some nut case will make us history.

We are going to become more accepting.

Game is on, scientific or spiritual or other. Somehow I feel we have so many questions about how to live, this one I save for retirement.

Like everything else, God's movie will eventually come to an end.

Humans will evolve into half-tech half-human beings, with unlimited imaginative potential and learn to live comfortably and peacefully on earth as we used to.

Ok, I'm stealing this from The Matrix. Humankind is a virus that will consume everything it comes into contact with. When it runs out of external things to consume, it will consume itself.

Everything will change and everything will be the same.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

We are going to keep evolving and spray out into the galaxy like the spores of a mushroom. Our diaspora will live on multiple worlds, will keep evolving and space will bloom with our biodiversity. It might have already done so.

Apocalypse or Singularity, whichever comes first. I'm rooting for Singularity with a really great user experience.

Miraculously we will understand our unity, stop fighting, stop overpopulating, stop wasting resources. We will see our relatedness as Love and Friendship between us. Only then we will build a better world. A piece of cake but we need to hurry.
